Inspo and references all taken from different cafe spots in Hong Kong and old 50s Shanghai. Often my work touches upon a moment in time, the calm before the storm, like someone's just about to sit down and enjoy the view and food. I think it’s in these moments that we create such emotional attachments to places. The culmination of the smell of tea brewing, food steaming, breeze from the open window, the clinking of porcelain, the bustle of people and traffic, all laced together to form a fond moment in your memories.
